200 Years In The Making
Clay County was formed on December 23, 1824, and was named after Henry Clay. Clay County was originally formed out of portions of Wayne, Crawford, and Fayette Counties.
This year, Clay County celebrates our 200 year anniversary while looking back on our history and future.
