NOTICE OF LETTING
Sealed proposals will be received in the office of the Clay County Engineer, 14464 Highway 45 South, Louisville, IL until 10:00 a.m. on September 9, 2025, for Widening, cement stabilization, oil and chip surfacing and associated work on 1.5 miles on Butternut Road and Hickory Hill Lane in Songer Township in Clay County, Il.
Proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished by the County which may be obtained at the office of the Clay County Engineer and shall be returned and enclosed in a sealed envelope endorsed “Proposal. Widening, cement stabilization, oil and chip surfacing and associated work.
The right is reserved to reject all proposals and to waive technicalities. Proposal guaranty in the form of a Proposal Bid Bond will be required. Contract bonds will also be required. Failure on the part of contractors to deliver the materials within the time specified or do the work as specified in the proposal will be considered just cause to forfeit contractor’s surety, as provided in Article 108.10 of the Standard Specifications.
